KARACHI: Two bodies of children were recovered from a car in Karachi’s Manghopir area on Wednesday.
According to sources, the bodies were identified as Danish Zubair and Ubaid Saeed, who are aged between 4 to 7 years, said sources. The bodies are said to be three to 4 days old, which were retrieved from a vehicle parked in Umar Goth for many days.
According to the post-mortem report of the victims, they were hit with a heavy object on the heads. It said that the victims had deep injury cuts on their heads that caused spillover of blood, resulting in their immediate death.
The report, however, did not find any evidence of sexual abuse committed with the children. Assistant Police Surgeon, Dr. Saleem said that the victims, three-year-old Ubaid Saeed and four-year-old Muhammad Zubair, were found with broken head skulls.
He refuted the earlier claims of an accident and declared it an intentional murder. Further investigation was underway, said police.
On the other hand, the families of the children claimed that they had no enmity with anyone, and both the victims were friends with one another.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh has taken notice of the incident. The IGP has sought a detailed inquiry report into the incident from concerned police officials.
