The Capital Development Authority (CDA), led by Special Magistrate Sardar Muhammad Asif, sealed four blocks of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) House in Islamabad on Monday due to expired lease issues.
The CDA team, accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Abdullah, carried out the operation, sealing blocks A and B, while leaving Block C unsealed as families still occupied it.
The CDA had repeatedly issued notices to the KP House administration to renew the lease, which expired in 2006, and to demolish illegal structures on the property.
However, the administration failed to take action, leading to the sealing of the premises, including the guest rooms.
The magistrate confirmed that no resistance was faced during the operation and stated that the house would be fully sealed in due course.
Earlier, the CDA had also sald the PTI central secretariat in Islamabad, which was later de-sealed on the orders of the Islamabad High Court.
