In Okara, Punjab, a blind 11-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by an accused who had gone to buy thread; police have taken action.
According to details, another tragic incident has occurred in Punjab where an 11-year-old girl was subjected to assault. The accused, Wasim, targeted the girl inside a shop.
As per the DPO Okara, the accused fled upon hearing the girl’s cries near the shop, but the police have arrested Wasim. A case has been registered against the accused.
This is not the first incident of assault on a minor girl in Okara or other cities of Punjab. The DPO Okara stated that investigations are ongoing, and the accused will be punished.
In the past, minor girls have also been targeted for sexual assault. Sometimes, the perpetrators even kill the victims after assaulting them, leading to arrests and legal action against multiple accused.
Earlier, in the Thana Sadar area, a woman informed the police that her minor daughter was assaulted while returning home after attending school.
The woman told the police that her 11-year-old daughter was on her way back from tuition when the accused, Haider, lured her away and took her to a deserted place, where he allegedly assaulted her. The police have registered a case against the accused.
