Jisoo, singer of the popular South Korean girl group BLACKPINK, is all set to make a solo debut this year.
BLACKPINK label confirmed that Jisoo is all set to make a solo debut in 2023. The music label stated that “BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album.”
The statement added, “While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise to fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news.”

Jisoo will be the last member of BLACKPINK to release solo work. Jennie was the first to drop solo in 2018, Rose in 2021, and then Lisa in 2022. On the work front, BLACKPINK with their music video DDU-DU DDU-DU has made incredible YouTube history.
BLACKPINK’s DDU-DU DDU-DU had crossed 2 billion views counter on YouTube. It became the first K-pop music video to hit the billions of views mark. The music video was officially released on June 15, 2018, and it took more than 4 years for this win.
