KARACHI: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the incumbent government of India’s Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was facing imminent defeat in New Delhi polls due to Narendra Modi’s new contentious citizenship laws.
Speaking at a gathering of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi today (Monday), FM Qureshi said that the result of Delhi’s election would be announced tomorrow, adding, “It is expected that the BJP will face a lot of difficulties and is facing a huge defeat.”
FM Qureshi highlighted the BJP fascist policies in Indian occupied Kashmir and countrywide protest that resulted after the introduction of CAA and NRC as the main reason for difficulties faced by BJP.
He said that countries that had deepened their ties with India, were reevaluating their relationship after the Indian government’s atrocities in IoK and discrimination laws.
Commenting on Indian economy, FM Qureshi said that India’s economy facing downfall after BJP came back into power.
He showed worried that India may try to stage a Pulwama-like false flag operation to divert their people’s attention from economy to Pakistan.
