BISE Karachi announce Matric Science Group results

KARACHI: The Board of Secondary Education (BISE) Karachi has finally announced the results for Class X (Matriculation) for the Annual Examinations for the year 2020.

This year’s results were announced under the newly introduced grading system due to the coronavirus pandemic ending the waiting for thousands of students.

According to the results, 168,880 students have been passed the matriculation exams in Science Group. A total of 169,325 students registered for the examination while 455 were absent. The passing rate this year was 99.8 percent.

A total of 17,156 students passed in A-One Grade (80% of above) which make up 10.14 percent of the total students. 30,746 students were awarded A Grade (70% and above but below 80%) making up 18.19 percent of total candidates.

35,855 students were awarded B Grade (60% and above but below 70%) making up 21.18 percent of total candidates. 39,159 students were awarded C Grade (50% and above but below 60%) making up 23.18 percent of total candidates.

37,309 students were awarded D Grade (40% and above but below 50%) making up 22.05 percent of total candidates. 8,230 students were passed E grade, below the minimum required to pass, while 425 candidates passed in additional subjects.
