KARACHI: Biparjoy cyclone has changed its position, moved away from the Sindh capital, and will likely hit Keti Bandar port today.
The distance of the storm from the largest city of Pakistan has decreased further, as a result of which rains are expected in Karachi today.
According to the details, the distance of the alarming cyclone, which is heading towards Sindh and India, is further reduced to 250 km from Karachi and 150 km from Keti Bandar. A storm is forecast to hit Keti Bandar today.

The Sindh government had already evacuated other cyclone-prone areas including Keti Bandar port. The meteorological department said that the chances of the storm hitting Karachi are negligible, but rains are expected due to the storm.
The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in other cities of Sindh including Mithi, Thatta, Badin, Sajawal, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, and Umarkot in view of the storm.
It should be noted that earlier the series of worst load shedding of electricity in the city of Karachi began even before the cyclone.
Last day, K-electric started prolonged load shedding of electricity in different areas of Karachi city due to which the citizens were left exhausted.
