In April this year, Nabil Gabol caused an uproar on social media after passing a string of misogynistic and disturbing remarks in several interviews.
During the conversation on a podcast, Gabol draws an unruly analogy between sexual assault and political oppression.
“There is a saying in English, ‘If rape is imminent, just enjoy it’.” When the host tells him there is no such saying, he doubles down on his claim and said it was a saying.
The comments also earned the ire of PPP leadership who issued a show cause notice to Gabol and demanded an explanation for his statement. It said the disciplinary action will be action if he fails to provide a satisfactory reply.
