KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Tuesday inaugurated the Dhabeji Pumping Station to overcome the water shortage in the province.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony, the PPP Chairman said that the project was completed at a cost of Rs. 1.4 billion. He said that the project would prove beneficial in the province to accommodate water needs.

Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah,said that resolving the water crisis in Sindh was a priority of his government.
The chief minister further said, “We are using underground water to overcome the water crisis. The federal government must accomplish its promises. We are not going to let the federal government take away provincial privileges. Prime Minister had earlier promised to install a desalination plant in Karachi but that was just a promise,” he added.
Local Government Minister Nasir Shah, Adviser Law Murtaza Wahab were also present on the occasion.
