KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz will have an important meeting today.
The news was announced by PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb. She said that the PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto will go to Raiwind today at 12.30 pm and Maryam Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto will meet there.
He said that the PPP delegation would also come to Raiwind along with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and senior leaders of PML-N would also attend the meeting. The PML-N spokesperson further said that the overall situation and Senate elections would be discussed in the meeting.
Last week, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had asserted that the PPP party was ready for the Senate election through an open ballot, adding that no one would be allowed to rig the upcoming polls. The PPP Chairman expressed his on Yousuf Murtaza Baloch’s victory in the PS-88 Malir by-election.

“They can see that whether by-elections happen in Karachi or Sangar, the PPP is dealing a blow to the PTI,” he said, adding that because of this, the PTI’s members were switching their affiliation. “If the government has a majority and if they trust their MNAs and MPAs, then why does it want to come through back doors,” he said, adding, “We won’t give any permission to compromise the Senate elections or to steal votes.”
Bilawal alleged that the government was now pressuring different institutions and wanted to fire a gun from the shoulders of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Supreme Court. He also claimed that when the demand for elections according to the Constitution and the law was made, then photoshopped and fake videos were released to the media.
