QUETTA: Balochistan High Court on Tuesday summoned reports from the provincial government as well as senior member Board of Revenue over petitions challenging the bifurcation of Lasbela district.
A two-judge bench comprising Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Iqbal Kasi picked up the petition for hearing. Advocate General Asif Reki and others also appeared before the bench.
During the course of proceedings, the court asked the Advocate General why a report from the government wasn’t submitted as yet, to which he said the report would be submitted at the next hearing.
At this moment, the court ordered to club 58 more petitions filed on the same issue.
The court summoned a report from senior member Board of Revenue and the provincial government and instructed both the government and the petitioner to update their report and petition respectively.
