Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday witnessed a bearish trend in the early hours of trading as the benchmark KSE-100 Index dropped -49.78.
As of 11 a.m., the market stood at 114,478.30 points, a -0.04% decline from 114,528.08 points in the previous session.
The market opened in green and reached 114,762.92 points with an over 200-point gain. However, it could not maintain the bullish trend, and soon, the bears took control, and the KSE-100 Index declined to 114,219.95. Later, the market recovered some losses, but it was still in red at 11 a.m.
On Tuesday the PSXÂ maintained a bullish trend and gained 197 points before ending the trading session.
As of 3:30 pm, the KSE-100 Index closed at 114,528.08 points, 197 points higher than the 114,330.10 points on Monday. The positive change in the market was recorded at 0.17%.
The highest index of the day remained at 115,889.60 points, while the lowest level was recorded at 114,178.55 points.
