Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday closed down by 490 points after a volatile session.
In the morning, the market opened in green and started gaining, however, could not maintain the bullish trend after reaching over 113,185.35 points with over 500 points gain and fell in red due to selling pressure.
At the end of the session, the benchmark KSE-100 index closed at 112,253.76 against 112,743.79 in the previous session.
At 9:50 the market was trading on 113,185.35 with a positive change of 0.39% while in total 330 companies were active in the trading.
At the end, the KSE-100 index dropped 490 points with a negative change of -0.43%.
During the session the market high was 113,327.12 and the low was 112,146.09 points, whereas the number of total shares traded was 152,058,817 against 206,851,125 shares in the previous session. The market total value recorded at Rs. 9,674,076,763 against Rs11.337 billion in the last trading day.
As many as 430 companies transacted their shares in the stock market,165 of them recorded gains and 196 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 69 companies remained unchanged.
