KARACHI: Bears returned to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today (Monday), as the benchmark KSE-100 Index failed to hold on to early gains and ended in the negative.
Despite a positive start to the day, the KSE-100 Index remained in the red for almost the entire session, touching its intraday low at 43,295.64. It settled lower by 406.80 points at 43,333.76.
Among other indices, the KMI-30 Index dropped 1164.61 points to end at 70,481.99, while the KSE All Share Index fell 246.50 points, settling at 30,491.86.
During the trading session, there was a decline of 0.93% and 243.6292732 shares were traded. Investors preferred to sell most of the shares due to which they had to bear a loss of more than Rs. 70 billion.
