Bangladesh has relaxed its visa policy for Pakistani businessmen in a bid to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
This development was announced by Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain Khan, during his address at the Gujrat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GTCCI).
In a move aimed at further easing the process, the High Commissioner announced that an online visa application system would be launched in December this year, offering greater convenience to applicants and promoting smoother cross-border exchanges.
Highlighting his country’s commitment to regional stability and economic growth, the High Commissioner said that the visa regime is being streamlined, with a particular focus on facilitating business travel. “Both countries have begun issuing visas to trade delegations,” he said, signaling a renewed emphasis on commercial engagement.
GTCCI President Bau Muneer, along with former president Ali Ansar Ghuman, Ahmed Hassan Mattu, and Secretary Usman Muzaffar, also addressed the gathering and welcomed the initiative as a positive step toward strengthening bilateral ties.
