GADANI: Sand artists from Balochistan’s coastal town of Gadani gathered here to wish best of luck for Pakistan’s cricket team for their semi final by creating immaculate sketches of national team players on the beach.
Pakistan was all set to play its the first semifinal of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 agaisnt New Zealand at at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) today. In the super 12 round, Pakistan finished second in Group 2 while New Zealand were the Group 1 toppers.
The group of sand artists comprising young talented youth made sketches of Pakistani cricket team captain Babar Azam, and the T20 World Cup trophy, all within an hour.
Speaking on this occasion, one of the artists Sameer said “We want Babar Azam to bring this trophy to Pakistan and win the final after qualifying in the semi-final.”
“And by making Babar Azam’s sketch at Gadani Beach, we have shown that people of Balochistan are supporting the Pakistani cricket captain,” Sameer added.
