ISLAMABAD: The sit-in and protest of the Baloch Solidarity Committee in the federal capital entered the thirteenth day today, the protesters have demanded action from the authorities to recover the missing persons.
According to the details, children, women, and elderly from Balochistan are among the protesters. The Baloch Solidarity Committee called for a strike in Dalbandin, Mastung, Kalat, Hub, Khuzdar, Nushki, Panjgur, and Turbat.
The business community and commercial centers abandoned their daily activities, and banks and petrol pumps were also closed. Citizens are facing transportation difficulties, but Baloch protestors persist in fulfilling their demands.
Earlier, the High Court had directed the Islamabad Police to refrain from harassing Baloch protesters or forcibly removing Baloch families from outside the National Press Club. Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani heard the case.
Lawyer Attaullah Kundi said during the hearing that the Baloch protestors staged a dharna outside the National Press Club while the police registered a case and arrested the women and children. Women and children were released after a court application.
Attaullah Kundi said that there was an attempt to send women back by forcing them on buses, everything coming towards us was stopped and harassed by the police.
