KARACHI: The Sindh government today (Wednesday) has allowed bakeries and milk shops across the province to remain open till midnight, according to a notification from the Sindh Home Department.
The notification said, “Restaurants, food streets to remain closed with no indoor or outdoor dining. However, home delivery, takeaway and drive-through facilities will be allowed.”
“Bakeries and milk-shops are allowed till 12:00 am (midnight),” the communique added. Earlier, the Sindh government had restricted the timings of bakeries and milk shops from 5am-6pm.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, while chairing a meeting of the coronavirus taskforce earlier this month, said, “We would further tighten enforcement of SOPs and close Hawkesbay, Seaview and other recreational facilities for visitors.”
On the same day, the government announced that all commercial activities across the provinces will be allowed to operate on Friday and Sunday from 6 am till 6 pm. Markets and businesses of the province remained shut till May 16 on Eidul Fitr.
