Australia is set to host eight white-ball matches against India between August and November before launching their Ashes title defense against England, according to Cricket Australia’s latest home fixture list released on Sunday.
Darwin will host two T20 Internationals against South Africa in August, marking the first time in 17 years that international cricket will be played in every Australian state and territory within the same calendar year.
Following six white-ball games against South Africa, Australia will face India in three one-day internationals. India, who recently defeated Australia in the Champions Trophy semifinals, will then compete in five T20 matches against the reigning 20-over world champions.
Pat Cummins and his squad will kick off their Ashes campaign in Perth on November 21, followed by Tests in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Meanwhile, Australia’s women’s team will conclude the international season with a multi-format series against India, featuring a historic day-night Test in Perth next March.
Cricket Australia chief executive Todd Greenberg expressed confidence in another successful season. “Last summer set new records for attendance, viewership, and digital engagement, and we expect this momentum to continue through an exciting season ahead,” he said.
