KARACHI: Taking notice of a reported attack on PTI leader Bilal Ghaffar in NA-237 Malir Karachi, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh to take necessary action.

In a letter addressed to the IGP Sindh, the ECP referred to the incident in which a law and order situation had reportedly emerged after Bilal Ghaffari was attacked by goons affiliated with PPP at the polling station 129 of of the NA-237 Malir, the ECP ordered the IG to take any measure required to restore order, and submit a compliance report.
Meanwhile, local PTI leaders have approached Police with request to register case of attempted murder against Salman Abdulalh Murad, son of CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, and PPP MPA Saleem Baloch.
