At least 13 killed as van-truck collide in Jamshoro

JAMSHORO: At least 15 passengers were killed and five others suffered injuries in a collision between a truck and a passenger van on the Indus Highway in Jamshoro on Wednesday, rescue officials said.

According to rescue officials, the injured and the deceased were taken Taluka Hospital Manjhand, Jamshoro. The van was heading to Hyderabad from Dadu when it met a tragic fate.

Police officials and others rushed to the scene of occurrence and joined the rescue operation. Police said legal action would be followed after the completion of rescue operation and shifting the injured to the hospital.

Fatal road accidents are common in parts of the country, where traffic rules are rarely followed and roads in many rural areas are in poor condition.
