KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has extended interim bail of former provincial law minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar in the assets case till 13th February.
During the hearing, a prosecutor of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) notified the court that the investigation against Ziaul Hasan Lanjar has been completed. It would be approved by Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal later today.
The court directed the NAB prosecutor to submit a report in the court after filing a reference on the designated date.
As per sources, the bureau had traced Lanjar’s bungalow in the Defence area of Karachi worth Rs 90 million which was not mentioned in his asset declaration form.
During the inquiry, it was found that the sole agreement of the bungalow is in his name and but he has transferred the property in his father-in-law’s name.
Lanjar was elected as the vice-chairman of the Sindh Bar Council, had approached the SHC in 2017.
