LEICESTER: Pakistan’s snooker player Asjad Iqbal has booked a spot in the round of 32 of the ongoing Snooker Shoot Out after beating England’s Jimmy Robertson 73-33.
Asjad, who stunned David Gilbert in the first round on Thursday, carried on his momentum to add Robertson to the list of scalped opponents.
Asjad showed complete dominance in the Round of 64 match against Robertson, defeating him by a huge score of 40 points.
Up until the eighth minute, the Pakistani cueist was down by five points when he orchestrated yet another amazing comeback and won the match with a Break of 64.
In the final seconds before the match timer expired, the national cueist had an easy time of it thanks to his accuracy and ability to maintain his composure under pressure.
The Round of 32 draws will be announced this week.
