LAHORE: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Roger Binny and Vice President Rajeev Shukla are expected to arrive in Pakistan today.
The BCCI officials will arrive in Lahore through the Wagah border at the invitation of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf to watch Asia Cup matches.
They will also attend a dinner at the Governor’s House. The Punjab Home Department has given the go-ahead to use bullet-proof vehicles for the visiting officials and make security arrangements.
The Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) requested the Punjab Home Department to send provide two bullet-proof luxury vehicles. The Home Department approved PCB’s request and instructions for the provision of vehicles.
Binny had confirmed his and Shukla’s tour to Pakistan. He said he had no hesitation in visiting Pakistan and hoped his visit would benefit India-Pakistan cricket ties.

Binny’s trip to Pakistan for the Asia Cup will be his first in 18 years. The BCCI president last visited the country in 2005 for the Asian Cricket Council camp.
