Cricket fans, mark your calendars! The Asian Cricket Council has revealed the Asia Cup 2025 schedule, with the UAE set to host all matches from September 9-28. ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi’s announcement has already set social media buzzing with excitement.
The tournament’s biggest draw? The always-explosive Pakistan vs India clash on September 14. These matches regularly break viewership records, and this edition promises no less drama.
Pakistan enters the tournament facing Oman on September 12 before their high-stakes meeting with India, followed by a UAE matchup on September 17.
Eight teams will battle across UAE’s world-class venues:
Group A: Pakistan, India, Oman, UAE
Group B: Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong
The action begins September 9 when Afghanistan takes on Hong Kong. After intense group play, the Super Four stage runs September 20-26, culminating in the September 28 final.
“This tournament will showcase Asian cricket at its finest,” Naqvi promised. The UAE’s excellent facilities and neutral status make it an ideal host.
The schedule confirmation comes after India’s cricket board received government approval to participate, including for the politically sensitive Pakistan match.
With star players, fierce rivalries, and the region’s pride at stake, Asia Cup 2025 is shaping up as must-watch cricket. Broadcast and ticket details will follow in coming months as anticipation builds toward what could be the most competitive Asia Cup yet.
