LAHORE: Airport Security Force (ASF) claimed to have foiled a drug smuggling bid to abroad at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore on Friday.
According to the ASF sources, during the checking of a passenger identified as Sohail, the officials recovered at least seven kilograms of ice heroin.
The ASF authorities further said the suspect was traveling to Dubai from Lahore airport through a private airline’s flight EK- 624.
Earlier the Airport Security Force on Feb 6, foiled a bid to smuggle heroin from New Islamabad Airport and sized the narcotic worth millions of rupees from a smuggler.
The officials said the smuggler identified as Mohammad Sagheer, a resident of Azad Kashmir was caught during the checking at the airport.
During the checking process, he was found with narcotics aimed at smuggling the drug from the Birmingham-bound flight.
