ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, on Sunday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) aims to keep the public devoid of its rights.
He said this while talking to a press conference in Islamabad. Asad Umar mentioned that the flour prices in Karachi are expensive in comparison to Punjab and further said that he had submitted the application against Sindh Local Bodies Amendment Bill. PPP merely wants to bring the country into a dangerous situation.
Sindh produces wheat in surplus amount while it is being sold at expensive prices of at least Rs300-350 in comparison to Punjab, he emphasized.
The planning and development minister said that in the hard times of COVID-19 outbreak, Rs2.5 billion were utilized by the province.

He went on to add that there are clear depictions of the Omicron outbreak to prevail soon across the country. Following the reports of Bloomberg, the country will be able to attain 100 percent vaccination in a span of 10 years, he mentioned.
Earlier today, Asad Umar had warned against a new wave of Covid-19 with new variant named Omicron in the country.
He said there were clear evidence of the beginning of another Covid wave that had been expected for last few weeks.
“Genome sequencing showing the rising proportion of omicron cases particularly in Karachi,” he said on his Twitter handle.
