The appeals of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain Safdar will be heard in the Islamabad High Court today.
According to details, Captain Safdar and Maryam Nawaz have filed appeals in the Islamabad High Court in Azizia, Avonfield, and Flagship references. The former prime minister’s daughter and son-in-law will appear in the Islamabad High Court.
The Islamabad High Court is expected to rule today on the modalities for proceeding with Nawaz Sharif’s appeals. The court sought a record of previous court proceedings in this regard from the NAB prosecution and Azam Nazir Tarar.
Nawaz Sharif had filed an appeal against the sentence in the Azizia reference. A bench of judges of the Islamabad High Court will hear the arguments of Maryam Nawaz, Captain Safdar, and the NAB prosecution and decide on the modalities for proceeding with the appeals.

Speaking in Sheikhupura last month, Maryam Nawaz said that if speaking the truth and abiding by the constitution and law is a traitor, then we will commit this betrayal again and again.
It may be recalled that on the arrival of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz in Sheikhupura, a procession was taken out in open violation of coronavirus SOPs and a case was registered against the PML-N leaders.
Last month on 17th May, a case was registered against two brothers and a son of PML-N leader Mian Javed Latif in a complaint filed by a price magistrate, and an investigation was launched.
