ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Conference (APC), which was originally scheduled to be held tomorrow with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in the chair, will now be held on Thursday February 9.
According to multiple sources from media as well as official circles, the date for the APC was changed due to official business engagement of PM Shehbaz Sharif.
Sources said the agenda of the APC is being finalised and that all leaders of all political parties would be invited to attend the APC.
There will be consultation on terrorism, national security, and economic stability in the APC.
A plan of action will be formulated to face the national challenges together.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) hasn’t been officially invited to attend the APC as yet, although former Speaker Asad Qaiser says he has been contacted by government on phone.

However, the party was considering to attend the All Parties Conference (APC) summoned by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
According to sources, PTI senior leader Fawad Chaudhry recommended party chief Imran Khan for nominating Sheikh Rashid and Azam Swati as party’s representatives for the APC.
Fawad Chaudhary was of the view that Sheikh Rashid has served as interior minister and was well aware of the country’s security situation, while Azam Swati was a senior politician.
