The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted an inquiry into Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), over the alleged anti-state video posted from his X (formerly Twitter) account. The investigation took place at Adiala Jail, where Khan, the former prime minister, is currently held.
After initially declining to participate, Imran Khan eventually cooperated with the investigation in the presence of his legal representatives, a condition he had insisted upon.
According to sources within the jail, the FIA team visited Adiala Jail for the third time to question Imran Khan regarding the controversial video. Khan was shown the video in question, which had allegedly been uploaded from his X account, and was questioned about its content and source.
During the interrogation, Imran Khan was questioned for an hour and was asked a total of 16 questions, as per the sources. The FIA team included Additional Director Ayaz Ahmed and Sub-Inspector Munib.
Imran Khan was accompanied by his legal team, comprising Chaudhry Zaheer Abbas and Intizar Panjotha, during the questioning. Sources suggest that Khan responded to the FIA’s inquiries in the presence of his lawyers, adhering to his previous stance of only providing answers with legal representation present.
