KARACHI: District Central Ward Servant Kashif has started conducting raids at clinics by pretending himself as a health inspector. Anti-Corruption launched an investigation against him. Dental Surgeon Hira Zaheer has reportedly intensified her efforts to save her alleged frontman Kashif.
According to details, Deputy Commissioner Central District Taha Saleem also expressed displeasure over the complaints of fake raids in District Central and strongly reprimanded the DHO and ordered an inquiry. No action was taken against Ward Servant Kashif and OT Assistant Faizan despite proof but were temporarily suspended.
Meanwhile, a new Pandora’s box has been opened against Kashif for allegedly raiding by showing himself as a drug inspector and an anti-corruption probe has been launched. Dr. Hira Zaheer replied to the anti-corruption letter.
In this regard, District Health Officer Dr Muzaffar Odho has said that they do not have any of drug inspector named Kashif in their department after which the anti-corruption team has summoned Kashif.
Sources said Kashif and Faizan with the alleged approval from Dr Hira were conducting raids in district central and were demanding bribes.
Complaints were also lodged with the Director of Health Services Karachi in this regard but the Director’s Office disposed of the inquiry with the statement that the staff was not aware that the raid was the work of Sindh Healthcare Commission.
