Hollywood star Anne Hathaway has opened up about the assaults she had faced on-line after winning an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for 2012’s Les Misérables.
While shedding light on the online abuse, the Hollywood star said that she has been facing criticism throughout her career. Anne Hathaway said dealing with criticism from on-line trolls has made her a stronger particular person.
A 38-year-old actress described that the abuse made her notice that her confidence needed to come from herself, not the public. She further said that the article she had read once was biased. According to Hathaway, the piece was full of comments from trolls criticizing her looks and calling her ‘unlikeable’ and ‘boring’.

“I really don’t want to dredge up the past but I did have the internet turn on me and hate me and it was like a whole big thing. And it was a really good thing for me personally,” she was quoted saying.
“You can be incredibly empowered because of those things. So I guess what I’d say is when the bad [expletive] happens, don’t fear it just go with it, flow with it,” she said.
