A lavish cruise departing from Italy to the south of France is reportedly part of the highly anticipated pre-wedding festivities for Indian tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s son, Anant Ambani, according to the Hindustan Times.
Anant is preparing to tie the knot with his fiancée, Radhika Merchant.
The ceremony, scheduled for May 28–30, is expected to welcome approximately eight hundred guests, including Bollywood celebrities and international dignitaries, aboard the ship hosted by the Ambani family.
Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of the colossal oil-to-telecoms conglomerate Reliance Industries, holds the title of the richest person in Asia, valued at approximately $114 billion according to Forbes’ real-time billionaires list.
Among the anticipated guests are renowned figures such as Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan.
Moreover, around 600 hospitality employees are expected to be part of the event, which will conclude in Switzerland on June 1 with a strict no-phone policy in place.
As reported by India Today, Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani, and other Ambani family members are currently in London for the cruise party fittings. The wedding of Anant and Radhika is slated to take place between July 6-12 in Mumbai.
The couple’s pre-wedding celebration in Gujarat’s Jamnagar in March garnered global attention with its star-studded guest list and extravagant events. Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Microsoft’s Bill Gates, Rihanna, and numerous Bollywood celebrities attended the three-day gala celebration. Highlights included a performance by Rihanna, her first since last year’s Super Bowl, and a visit to an “animal rescue center” housing exotic animals, a pet project of Anant’s located in his family’s hometown of Jamnagar.
