Amazons defeated Super Women by 41 runs in the second Women’s League exhibition match at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi on Friday.
After deciding to bat first, the Amazons finished on 204-3 in their allotted 20 overs.
Opener Danni Wyatt was the star of the show with the bat for the Amazons after a belligerent knock of 97 runs in 45 balls. She smacked 17 fours and three sixes.
Captain Bismah Maroof also played an impressive innings of 73 runs in 51 balls with the help of 11 boundaries.
Wyatt and Maroof added 137 runs for the second wicket partnership.
For the Super Women, Tuba Hassan claimed figures of 2-34 in four overs.
Chasing the daunting target, Super Women were restricted to 163-9 in 20 overs.
Lauren Winfield-Hill top-scored with 80 runs in 42 balls with the help of 11 fours and three sixes.
For the winning side, Anam Amin was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4-17 in four overs. Fatima Sana also claimed two wickets.
Bismah Maroof was named as skipper of Amazons, which includes Ireland’s Laura Delany, England’s trio of Lauren Winfield-Hill, Maia Bouchier and Tammy Beaumont, and Australia’s Tess Flintoff.
Meanwhile, Nida Dar leads the Super Women, which comprise Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu, Danni Wyatt of England, Jahanara Alam of Bangladesh, South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt and Lea Tahuhu of New Zealand.
