Allu Arjun starrer 'Pushpa' becomes bigger success than 'Baahubali'

Indian actor Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 fast emerged as a dark horse at the box office.

Released last month, ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ has been doing rather well at the box office. Interestingly, the Hindi dubbed version of the film has managed to hold its own despite other releases hitting screens.

In fact, Pushpa managed to overcome the competition from the Hollywood release Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Bollywood biggie 83, seeing an increase in screens in its second week and third week consecutively.

According to Aamir Khan’s Box Office Formula, Pushpa: The Rise is now a bigger success than Baahubali – The Beginning, Baahubali – The Conclusion, and 3 Idiots.

As per Aamir Khan’s formula, “To measure a film’s success, you need to see the weekend figures and compare it with the total collection. Like 3 Idiots did Rs. 40 crores on the weekend and the total business was Rs. 202 crores, so the weekend multiplied by 5, is the behaviour of the film which is very good. That shows people have gone again and again to see the film.”

In this report, while comparing, we introduce a Metric – Weekend to Lifetime Multiple. Pushpa: The Rise has had a Weekend to Lifetime multiple of 7.04 which is higher than Uri – The Surgical Strike (6.87), Queen (6.10), Hindi Medium (5.54) and Baahubali – The Beginning (5.31). In fact, Pushpa also surpasses movies such as 3 Idiots, Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, Housefull 4, Bajirao Mastani, Kabir Singh, Dangal, PK, Simmba, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
