LAHORE: The City Police have registered a case against unidentified individuals for the alleged kidnapping of PTI activist Azhar Mashwani, who was reportedly picked up by unknown plainclothesmen from outside his residence on Thursday afternoon.

The First Information Report (FIR) was registered on the orders of the sessions court, which issued notices to the Lahore police chief on a petition seeking the registration of a case over the alleged abduction of Mashwani.
The FIR stated that Mr. Mashwani went missing outside his house on Thursday while he was on his way to Zaman Park in a cab. His mobile phone was switched off after some time, and his family and friends were not able to contact him.
This incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of political activists in the country. Members of political parties, news anchors and journalists as well as members of civil society are calling on the authorities to take strict action against those responsible for the incident and ensure the safety of all citizens, including political activists. PTI leaders have also condemned the incident and demanded that the culprits be brought to justice as soon as possible.

The incident has sparked outrage among the public, who are demanding that the authorities take immediate action to ensure the safety of citizens.
