The program primarily targets recent graduates who have completed their degrees within the last two years. This preference is intended to support those who are transitioning from academic environments into the professional world.
In her announcement, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of guiding the youth towards financial independence and professional development. “We want to guide youth to the path of financial independence in a dignified manner. Young people! step up, bright future awaits you,” she said.
This new program follows the Punjab government’s earlier ‘Chief Minister Climate Leadership Development Internship Programme’, part of the ‘Mera Punjab Smog Free’ initiative. That program focused on environmental improvement and offered similar financial support to combat smog, also targeting graduates aged 18 to 25.
