Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has announced that her film Jigra will be released in cinemas on October 11.
Alia later shared the announcement date on her social media and captioned her post, “11.10.2024 | JIGRA | See you at the movies.”
Meanwhile, producer Karan Johar stated in his post, “Courage comes into play when one of your own is at risk. Starring Alia Bhatt & Vedang Raina – #Jigra arrives in cinemas on 11th October, 2024.”
Jigra was earlier supposed to be released on September 27. However, the film’s release was postponed to avoid a clash with Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1.
The thriller, which has been co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, also stars Vedang Raina. The Vasan Bala directorial has been cleared with a UA certificate. Jigra has a runtime of 155 minutes (2 hours and 35 minutes).
The film promises to feature Alia in a never-seen-before avatar.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Karan Johar’s directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which co-starred Ranveer Singh. Meanwhile, Vedang Raina made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix film, The Archies, which also launched star kids such as Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, and Khushi Kapoor.
