It has been reported that the wedding celebrations of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, who are set to tie the knot this month, will begin on April 14.
The couple’s wedding functions will start on April 14 and end with a reception on April 16. The couple is tying the sacred knot on April 14, at a very private function to be attended only by close family.
A close friend of the couple revealed, “On April 14, Alia and Ranbir will go through the wedding ceremony at Alia’s residence. This wedding will be attended only by the couple’s immediate family.”
The sources added, “Then on the evening of April 15, Alia and Ranbir will host a family dinner to be attended by both extended families. On April 16, is the wedding reception for which all of Alia and Ranbir’s friends and family will be invited.”
Unlike the high profile destination weddings of Bollywood, the duo will get hitched at Kapoor’s ancestral home, which is the RK house. The venue is said to be decided by Ranbir itself as he was very close to his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor and his parents too got married at RK home.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Ranbir Kapoor also responded to a question about his wedding date and revealed that it will happen soon. “I am not bitten by the mad dog that I would announce the date to the media, but I can tell you that. Alia and I are both planning to marry. I’m hoping it happens soon,” he said.

On the work front, Alia and her husband-to-be will next be seen in Brahmastra together. The film is scheduled for release on September 9, 2022. Alia Bhatt was recently seen in RRR alongside Jr NTR and Ram Charan. The film has shattered many box-office records.
On the other hand, Ranbir will be seen next in Shamshera with Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. The actor also has Animal, another untitled film opposite Shraddha Kapoor with Luv Ranjan, and Brahmastra scheduled for release.
