ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi has decided to take action over a leaked WhatsApp voice note pretending to be from him circulating on social media.
In a statement on twitter, the federal minister expressed great concern and said an ‘abusive’ voice note has been concocted and is being spread on WhatsApp groups claiming to be him. He said he has sent the voice note to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cybercrime wing.
“Someone fools have concocted an abusive voice note & propagating it on whatsApp groups claiming it to be my voice. I have sent these voice notes to FIA cyber crime,” he tweeted. He added that such “silly tricks won’t stop us from pushing” Imran Khan’s agenda of Naya Pakistan.
