Airblue launched a direct flight between Karachi and Skardu on Saturday, strengthening regional connectivity.
With serene lakes, beautiful valleys and historic sites, Skardu is one of top tourist destination in Pakistan.
“The introduction of this direct route shows a major milestone in the airline’s mission to connect the diverse regions of Pakistan,” General Manager Marketing and Director Commercial of Airblue said during the launching ceremony at Karachi airport.
He further said that inaugural flight to one of Pakistan’s most stunning tourist destinations underscores the airline’s strong commitment to advancing domestic tourism and improving regional connectivity.
“Airblue’s focus is on safety, customer satisfaction, and delivering value, describing the airline as more than just a carrier — a “national catalyst for development, connectivity, and international engagement,” he added.
Earlier in March, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced the launch of two-way flight operations from Lahore to Skardu and Gilgit.
According to PIA, flights on the Lahore-Gilgit route will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Lahore-Skardu flights will be available on Thursdays and Sundays. The airline has already begun final preparations to ensure smooth operations on these routes.
