Pakistani actor Aijaz Aslam has sparked a new debate by stating that Mohammad Rizwan, the captain of the national cricket team, should not speak English. His remarks came during a recent interview, a video clip of which has been circulating online.
During a podcast with FHM Pakistan’s host, Adnan Faisal, Aijaz Aslam said, “One of our cricketers is Rizwan Bhai. I will talk about him—why do you (Mohammad Rizwan) speak in English? You should not speak like that.”

Host Adnan Faisal attempted to defend Rizwan, saying, “He (Mohammad Rizwan) is in the process of learning.” However, Aijaz Aslam continued, “You (Mohammad Rizwan) should learn elsewhere, not in public.”
The actor further emphasized, “Urdu is our national language, and you (Mohammad Rizwan) should feel proud to speak in Urdu. You should not speak English, my friend! Please speak Urdu.”
Adnan Faisal also mentioned to Aijaz Aslam that when Mohammad Rizwan spoke in English, social media was flooded with memes mocking him. However, Aijaz Aslam did not replicate these remarks in the shorter version of the video.
