Actor and host Ahsan Khan, who earlier grabbed the attention for his insensitive scene in ‘Qissa Meherbano Ka’, has finally addressed the social issues being tackled in the drama.
In his recent interview with BBC Urdu, the actor explained that he makes sure that social issues are tackled well in his dramas. Khan also revealed how victims reach out to him whenever he does a project like that and he got a lot of people reaching out to him after drama ‘Udaari’.
Ahsan Khan shared that people still have mixed reactions to the theme of the drama ‘Qissa Meherbano Ka’. The drama sheds light on the issue of marital rape.

Written by Fakhra Jabeen, the drama has been directed by Iqbal Hussain. The drama features Ahsan Khan and Mawra Hocane in the leading roles alongside Mashal Khan, Ghazala Kaifi, Muhammad Ahmed, Khushal Khan, Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz, Nouman Hassan, and Areej Muhiyuddin.
Last month, the audience was outraged after watching a recent episode of Qissa Meherbano Ka in which Ahsan Khan forced himself on his own wife Meherbano played by Mawra.
Although the public praised their acting but criticized the awful narrative of the drama. According to social media users, they were fed up with such narratives.
