The 152nd death anniversary of famous Urdu and Persian poet Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan Ghalib, popularly known as ‘Ghalib’ is being observed.
Born as Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan, who described the bitter realities of love and life in the language of poetry, was born on 27th December 1797 in Agra, India. He started writing poetry as a boy at the age of 11, Ghalib started composing poetry.
His first language was Urdu, but Persian and Turkish were also spoken at home. He got his education in Persian and Arabic at a young age and later wrote a lot about the philosophy of life and mysticism.
He successfully managed to express himself in bigger depths because he made his loverless important in his poetry and gave more importance to his feelings and emotions.

Ghalib is attributed several timeless quotes and couplets that still manage to evoke poignant feelings among readers. Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan Ghalib died on 15th February 1869 at the age of 71 in New Delhi.
