KARACHI: A Chinese citizen was killed and two others, including a woman, were injured in a firing incident in Saddar area of the metropolitan on Wednesday.
As per details, the incident happened in a dental clinic of Chinese nationals. As per the police a man disguised as a patient enter the clinic and open fire on the victims. The deceased and the inured are Chinese while both the injured are wife and husband.
The clinic is located near Peshwari Ice-cream. The accused made off easily after the incident. The deceased was identified as RonilD Raimond chaw s/o George chaw age about 25 years, while the inured are identified as Margrade age about 72 and her husband Margrade age 72.
The injured were rushed to Jinnah Post Medical Center (JPMC) and the dead body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took notice of the killing, according to a spokesperson.
The CM sought a detailed report from the Karachi Additional IGP. Shah also ordered the immediate arrest of the attackers and observed that such incidents were not tolerable, according to the official statement.
This incident is the latest in the recent spate of attacks on Chinese nationals in the country. In April, three Chinese nationals were killed in a suicide attack outside the University of Karachi’s (KU) Confucius Institute.
