KARACHI: After influenced by the Holy Quran, a 42-year-old Christian woman, from the US state of Tennessee has converted to Islam at Al-Jamia Al-Binoria Al-Alimia (Binoria University International) Karachi.
Tiffany Sylvester Smith came to Karachi’s Binoria International University and expressed her desire to convert to Islam.
Maulana Noman Naeem, the superintendent of Binoria International University, introduced the new Muslim to the realm of Islam by reciting the ‘Kalima’ and congratulated her by suggesting the Islamic name Ayesha Amina.
Maulana Farhan Naeem, Deputy Superintendent of Binoria International University, President of the Institute of Knowledge America, Noman Sheikh were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the newly Muslim (Ayesha) said that she studied the Quran inspired by her Muslim friends in the United States.
She said, “Islam has given women the most rights. I have been inspired by what I have studied in the Holy Quran and I wished to convert to Islam. After accepting Islam, I consider myself lucky,” Ayesha added.
Maulana Noman Naeem said, “Islam is the only religion in the world which has remained in its true form the beginning and guides human beings in all walks of life till the Day of Judgment.”
He said that despite the negative propaganda against Islam and Muslims all over the world, hundreds of non-Muslims are converting to Islam every day. Islam has honored women with dignity and dignity, he added.
