RAWALPINDI: A woman, Sabila Khatun, a resident of Rawalpindi, has appealed to the government and philanthropists to extend financial assistance for the treatment of her husband’s cancer ailment.
Talking to MM News, Sabila Khatun said, “My husband Mohammad Khalil was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, and I took him to Ahmed Complex, Rawalpindi, where he underwent a wrong operation which caused his urinary tract to collapse.”
The woman further said that later when she reached Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital Lahore with her husband, the administration of the hospital refused to admit her husband.
After returning from Lahore in despair, she took her husband to Heart International Hospital in Rawalpindi, however, the doctors also refused to treat her husband.
The woman said that after that another bypass operation was carried out in Ahmed Hospital Rawalpindi which was not successful, and then more than three 300,000 was spent during admission in Shifa Hospital due to which she had to sell her house.
Sabila said the children have dropped out of school due to a lack of funds for the treatment of her husband. “I took my husband to India for treatment. Now my husband has his last operation which requires 20,000 dollars.”
She appealed to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Army Chief and the Chief Justice of Pakistan to provide financial assistance for her husband’s treatment.
