KARACHI: Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) franchise Peshawar Zalmi has released its official anthem, featuring its brand ambassadors Mahira Khan and Turkish star Esra Bilgic aka Halime Sultan besides Hania Aamir and Ali Rehman.
The anthem, titled ‘Kingdom’, premiered on Zalmi TV today (Saturday), shortly after owner Javed Afridi teased his followers with a cryptic tweet.

Their 2021 anthem, sung by the young maestro Abdullah Siddiqui ft Altamash, is the most creative and cutting edge audio-visual presentation to come out in PSL history.
The video opens with Hania running and barging into a cafe, where people are watching the Zalmis losing a match. The television is then kicked out of the café in anger, smashing glass all over.
The song is a fascinating mix of electronic music and heavy rock vocals that progresses like a medieval sacrificial ritual with everything breaking through the roof towards the end.
Earlier on Friday, Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators also released their anthems, Bol Qalandars and Aar Ya Paar, respectively. They have been sung by Abrarul Haq and rapper RAAMIS.
Karachi Kings, Islamabad United and Multan Sultans have yet to release their anthems. The mega cricket tournament starts today in Karachi. Defending champions Karachi Kings will face Quetta Gladiators in the opening game.
