ISLAMABAD: A rift has emerged between newly appointed Islamabad Mayor Pir Adil Shah and Chairman CDA Amir Ali Ahmed over the vacant position of Directorate of Municipal Administration’s (DMA) director.
Sources have revealed that newly appointed Mayor Islamabad appointed Amir Shehzad, as the Directorate of Municipal Administration’s (DMA) director, replacing Capt (retd) Ali Asghar Ahmed.
Meanwhile, a source within CDA on condition of anonymity, informed that Chairman CDA Amir Ali Ahmed wasn’t happy with the decision. In this regard, Amir Ali issued an order to DMA Director Ali Asghar not to leave the seat until further notice.
The mayor told the CDA chairman any posting, a transfer made by the CDA would be a violation of the provisions of Islamabad Local Government Act 2015, asking the CDA not to interfere in his domain.
