SINDH: Pakistan Navy in collaboration with other welfare organizations has established a free medical and eye examination camp at Keti Bandar port in Thatta district of Sindh.
In continuation of its efforts to provide standard healthcare facilities along with the coastal areas particularly under the Covid-19 pandemic, the Navy established the free medical.
A team of doctors comprising medical specialists, eye specialists and General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) examined the patients and extended free consultation, said the Navy spokesman. The patients were also provided with free medicine and minor surgical and dental procedural treatments, it added.
Additionally, patients were comprehensively briefed and enlightened about various infectious diseases and their preventive measures, particularly against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Furthermore, they were also educated about maintaining personal health, hygiene, child healthcare and sanitation of living areas.
A large number of women and children in need of medical assistance benefited from the initiative. Pakistan Navy, as a manifestation of its commitment, provide continued quality medical treatment along the coastal belt, the spokesman added.
